WTC Poland3 team Captain.

I won the roll and I took the first turn, which was very important in this match.

Thyra cast Occultation on Flamebringers, Silence of Death on another Flamebringers and Gates of Death on herself.
Thyra came forward, but more than 23 inches from arc nodes.

Witches cast Infernal Machine on Desecrator, who shot at Temple Guards and leave aoe3 corrosion dmg when you go in there.
BE ran forward to reach Daughter.
Witches killed that Daughter through arc node and created Machine Wraith.
Machine Wraith charged at BoM, took control of him and killed Flamebringer.
Coven ran to the flag and the last Witch FEATed.

End of 1st round :

I have a great opportunity to CK attempt.
Thyra need to FEAT, Carnage and cast Silence of Death on BoM.
BoM with place from FEAT, apparition and one sidestep can easiely reach coven.
Two Flamebringers can even reach the Coven.
Silly do not try…

Plan outline :

I am implementing a plan in life, removing all distracting models from the road.
After all possible combinations, BoM missed two attacks and the Coven alived at few hp 🙁

BUT! We were more than sure, if Machine Wraith took control of BoM and killed friendly faction model, Hand of Vengeance doesn’t activate.
Nothing more wrong!
Hand of Vengeance activates normally and if we knew it, CK would be successful.
But unfortunately we discovered it just after some time after the game.
So, back to the game…

Cryx killed a lot of my army.
Coven and witches just ran away.

0-1 on the scenario.

End of 2nd round :

Daughters from ambush took care of “wounded” BE.
Machanik ran to the flag.
Rest of my army just killing and contesting.

Coven stays in safe place and rest of the army just kills and scores scenario points.

1-3 on the scenario.

End of 3rd round :

The next rounds are not very meaningful to describe, because you will only be bored.
At some point, I’m ran out of models, that I can put to contest left zone and I lost by scenario 2-7.

A few words after game :

  • Going the first is the most important in this match.
  • You need to watch 16 inches from BE at the beginning.
    So he could not create Machine Wraith.
  • Sanctifier is priceless vs Cryx games.
  • Best idea for this game?
    Run all the way forward.
    Witches probably will use FEAT in their 1st turn.
    Then you have to go back and outside of Cryx ranges.
    Now you can start to play and score points.
    I think that’s the best plan for game vs Coven.
